Question for Metalheads……….?
Ok just to make something clear to myself. Selling more albums does not = the better band… agreed? (I’m talking about Metallica… obviously).

Would you agree that Metallica fanboy’s are the most idiotic, illiterate scum of the metal world? I mean, deep down, I am actually a massive fan of Metallica. But these fanboys just do not know other metal bands or guitarists beyond their precious Metallica or their precious Hammett.

So…
Name a band which YOU reckon is better than Metallica in most aspects.

Ignore the fact that I am the REAL Vic Rattlehead.

Pantera is my #1. I like them better cause I think they’re the heaviest band there is, that has good music.

As far as talent in the bands, it’s like this for me.

One band that I certainly feel has more talent than Metallica? Iced Earth. Of course, that’s just one metal artist who I feel is much more talented than Metallica. That goes without listing hundreds of country, blues and jazz artists that have mich more musical talent than Metallica…then there are also all the rock artists who don’t belong to the sub genre of metal who are much more talented than Metallica.

And..does it have to be a similar genre of metal to Metallica (ie, no Iron Maiden? because Iron Maiden beats them out.) How about one of the other well known thrash bands, Anthrax?
And what about..well, I know I’ll get lots of flak for this, but Alcatrazz. They’re kind of (kind. of.) a hair metal band, but man, Steve Vai can play. And the drums, the singing..ah, it’s amazing.
and..well, IMO I have a lot of guitarists I feel are better than Hammett, across lots of genres. Even if they aren’t as technically skilled..they have more charisma, so..hm.

and yes, I agree that album sales are a crap method of determining a bands skill. You know, based on that, we can say Ke$ha is the best artist today

Anyway, God is eternal. He doesn’t change His plans. I might read your book for fun, and to see if you have anything to teach me. God tells us that we can recognize Him through scripture, so unless you have something to contribute to my understanding of the words of the Bible, I don’t see what you might have to offer. I think you are just seeking your own power and glory. All the writers of the Bible built on the foundation of what went before. This is one of the real strengths Christianity has going for it. Testimony and evidence are required. None of them tossed out what went before and started all over again with themselves. That is what tyrants do. Throughout the ages religious people have preserved what comes down to us from the past, while deceivers and unbelievers have rewritten history and burned the record of the past.

If you want to talk about how great you are and how we should worship you, you may have promising career prospects as a rapper. All the best with that.

Am i in the wrong or is my Landlord? Can he evict us?
Ok long story.
Moved into a duplex with my husband and his parents. Me and my husband are the only one on the lease. ok well we lived there for 8 months. my husband lost his job in December. Told the Landlord that we couldnt pay the rent.(we were still current in our rent when we told him this) we gave him the date of january 20th to be moved out. that was the day our rent was due.
he agreed.and we were out of the house by the 20th. well to make a long story short, i got a phone call now being febuary 5th. and its him saying hes going to evict us, and garnish our wages. he calls me restricted and everything. we already turned over the property to him and everything, he never gave us a 3 day notice or anything. so can he really evict us? can he garnish our wages? can he evict my in laws even tho they werent on the lease?

Get EVERYTHING in writing when it comes to these situations!

It might take him lots and lots work before he can get garnish for your wages, but get everything documented or get statement from your neighbor to indicate that you had moved on the date. And figure out what is he trying to get. Don’t ignore the letters if he send you anything.

And the landlord has the right to evict whoever lives in the property if the rent isn’t paid. If your inlaws are paying their share of the rent, you better get all the checks to show they are paying.

Who is in the wrong? YOU. You broke your lease, your promise to pay. You acted responsibly by going to LL and giving him notice and moving out. But there are consequences, legal and financial, to breaking a lease.

Be sure to go to court if he sues you and tell Judge your side of story. LL has obligation to re-let the place if he can, but in the middle of winter, it’s hard. He can’t garnishee ANYONE’s wages without going to court and winning a judgment, and it’s unlikely he can get a judgment against in-laws here. To go to court against you, he has to give you some notices, then the sheriff serves you notice of the lawsuit. Be sure you go to court!!!

If you did not turn the keys over then this is what he has to do. A 3 day notice is taped to a door, you can’t really say he never gave you a 3 day notice if you are insisting you weren’t there to receive it.

If you live in Texas he can not garnish wages, but he can in all of the other states. The money you owe him is NOT a bill, you owe him his income, and recovering stolen income is handled differently then credit.

Yes, he can evict you for not paying the rent. An eviction evicts EVERYONE living in the house, not just those whose names are on the lease. In most places, if your rent is due on the first and not paid, he can evict you on the 2nd, even if there is a grace period. (The grace period only concerns late fees.)

Unless it’s obvious you’re no longer there (i.e all furniture gone) he needs to do an eviction in order to legally be able to go on the property without your permission. Sometimes it’s just easier to evict than to prove abandonment.

If he takes you to court and he wins, he can garnish your wages. However, most judges will attempt to set up something voluntary first.

The good news is that if he evicts you, the rent STOPS. He can’t sue for for an entire year’s worth of rent if he evicts you in the third month, for example.
